I have called this post V & V, but it doesn’t mean I want to talk about Bed and Breakfast and my fingers got crazy on the keyboard. There’s SOMETHING in Valencia, and (pay attention!) it’s vintage.

La Casita de Papel is a little shop next to the city center. More precisely, it’s in the Ruzafa neighbourhood, one of the most ancient places of Valencia, which is a multicultural zone where young people usually decide to live in. It has the appearance of a village but the advantages of being near the downtown. Ok, we’re already in situation.

I can tell you that the shop is decorated with antique furniture and it has a meticulous aesthetics. Original and creative young people sell vintage clothes and other complements. It’s curious that they’re all recovered from somewhere around (markets, donations, …). So you can find bags, glasses, pins, purses, cassettes… there’s no end! It’s like if you were in the sixties, the seventies or the eighties! It depends of the case ;) The very most important thing about this it’s that I’ve known it thanks to Aliciaconc (the person that I talk about in the previous post)… we are similar, I will never tire of saying that it’s because of our special name…

Well, two weeks ago there was an extraordinary event. Different fashion designers from Valencia put up on sale out of season clothes. There were all from the Valencia Fashion Week of last September. So, if look it in this way… they were not at all out of sale. Ladies and Gentlemen, at last, good initiatives to make a genuine shop and the Valencian fashion better known! Nona, Jose Zambrano, PorFin, Tonuca, Jaime Piquer and Encarnis Tomero were the shown brands and there was a little blackboard which told you in each case the designer in question. We could even talk with them in the meeting :)

In short, it was a good opportunity to browse and know the character of the Valencian design. Due to the success, maybe they repeat with another similar event. In the meantime, you can visit the little shop…
